About Sarah Emilie Müllertz
The woman behind Kinraden
For my kindred spirits, women and men who fall in love with beautiful things, people, poetry, and the fleeting pleasures of life itself, I designed precisely the exquisite and gently crafted jewellery that I dream of wearing myself.
- Sarah Emilie Müllertz,
Architect and founder of KINRADEN

Sarah Emilie Müllertz is an acclaimed architect and design professional with a master’s degree from the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. She has owned a successful design studio and served as Partner and Global Head of Design at the internationally renowned Henning Larsen Architects. In 2020, she decided to focus her efforts fully on KINRADEN – a fine jewellery brand she founded in 2014 as a part-time project of passion.
Sarah’s deep-seated love for jewellery was nurtured during a sabbatical year studying under a Danish jewellery maker. This pivotal period combined with her architectural background has shaped her unique approach to jewellery design – and elegant fusion of architectural principles and design philosophies. Drawing inspiration from Danish and Japanese design traditions, Sarah’s jewellery embodies a distinctive, explorative aesthetic.
Her creations are rooted in classical themes but carry a rebellious streak influenced by avant-garde art and global expressions of fashion. The result is unique and mesmerizing collections that defy monotony and superficiality.
Central to Sarah’s ethos are sustainability and ethical practice. She navigates the world of fine materials with innovation, artfully blending precious metals like reclaimed gold and silver with sustainably sourced mpingo wood – renowned for its use in classical music instruments. Her mission is to create unique, long-lasting jewellery grounded in profound respect for both nature and humanity.
Through KINRADEN, Sarah presents extraordinary pieces that combine architectural inspiration, Danish design heritage, and a daring spirit – all while remaining steadfastly committed to ethical and responsible practices.
Sarah’s innovative flair and commitment to sustainability have garnered well-deserved recognition. Her work is celebrated by industry insiders and discerning customers alike. Recent collaborations include a partnership with Andreas Murkudis who praised Sarah’s minimal, architecturally inspired designs and dedication to sustainability – highlighted in a Financial Times article.
Beyond KINRADEN, Sarah is deeply engaged in the Danish design community. She is not only an avid art collector but also serves on the advisory board that identifies emerging talent in art, design, and architecture for the Danish royal family’s prestigious cultural awards.
Driven by her architectural roots and steadfast commitment to sustainability, Sarah’s exceptional journey continues to redefine jewellery design. Her vision is a powerful statement to her extraordinary talent and dedication to creating jewellery that offers more than decoration – it delivers a unique experience to those who wear it.
