Our actions today shape the world for tomorrow

SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES

“We see the Earth as a whole – a living organism we are connected to. It’s such a fundamental experience that it shapes the way we think, act, and create.”
- Sarah Emilie Müllertz

RECYCLED MATERIALS

We choose to work exclusively with recycled 18k gold and sterling silver, once used in the tech and medical industries. Through a delicate purification process, these metals are reborn — refined to their purest form without drawing on new resources.

Alongside precious metals, our designs incorporate Mpingo wood — a rare and beautiful material sourced from FSC-certified forests in Tanzania. Upcycled from the production of wind instruments, this black heartwood is meticulously cut and polished, offering both beauty and strength. Each piece of Mpingo is a testament to nature’s resilience, transformed into something enduring and meaningful.

LASTING DESIGN

At KINRADEN, we reject the fleeting nature of trends. Our jewellery is conceived with timeless elegance in mind, designed to transcend seasons and pass through generations.

Each piece is crafted with meticulous precision, almost engineered to stand the test of time — not only in style but in quality. We continuously refine our processes to improve durability, ensuring that every piece of jewellery not only looks timeless but is built to endure.

CERTIFIED PRODUCTION

Each KINRADEN piece is handcrafted by experienced artisans in our state-of-the-art facility in Thailand, certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council. We’ve chosen to work with a family-run atelier where craftsmanship is held in high regard, and where dignity, fairness, and equality shape every aspect of the workplace.

This commitment reflects our alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8 — promoting inclusive and dignified employment, where every person involved in our process can thrive. Our jewellery is the result of skill, care, and mutual respect.

EXTENDED WEAR

At KINRADEN, durability is designed from within. We craft our pieces with a structural precision. Every piece is carefully considered and tested to carry it's beauty over time.

Our jewellery is designed to be worn daily, not hidden away. With the right care, its strength and shine will remain through years of use. We see this as part of the design — a partnership between maker and wearer, where longevity is built into every detail.

CARE AND REPAIR

Jewellery that lasts is not only well made — it’s also well cared for. Each KINRADEN piece comes with a care guide, a polishing cloth, and soft cotton bag — simple tools to help preserve its beauty through time. These small details are an invitation to treat your jewellery with intention, allowing it to age with you.

When signs of wear appear, we offer low-cost repair services to restore each piece to its original strength and beauty. And when a piece reaches the end of its life, we encourage returning it to us — so that the materials can be responsibly remelted or repurposed within our own studio. In this way, nothing is lost. Everything is given the chance to begin again.

BIODEGRADABLE WASTE

Every material we choose is part of a longer story — one that respects the natural cycle of return. The Mpingo wood we use is treated only with beeswax, allowing it to biodegrade naturally. Offcuts and unused pieces gently return to the soil, leaving no lasting trace. We also avoid any coating our precious metals that would hinder recyclability, ensuring that when their time with us ends, they seamlessly re-enter the cycle they came from.

Even our packaging reflects this ethos. We use only FSC-certified materials, ensuring that every aspect of your experience with KINRADEN — from the piece itself to the box it arrives in — upholds our commitment to low-impact design.

RE-USE OR RE-DESIGN

Nothing is wasted at KINRADEN. When a piece is discontinued, it is returned to the workshop — metals are melted down and refined again, wooden stones are carefully removed and repurposed. This quiet, circular process is at the heart of how we work.

We also align our practices with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12 — advocating for responsible production and consumption. Through repair, re-use, and re-design, we keep precious resources in the circle and out of the waste stream, honouring their full potential.
