JEWELLERY CARE GUIDE
Each KINRADEN piece is crafted to last a lifetime — yet even the finest 18K gold, sterling silver, and Mpingo wood benefit from mindful care. With a few simple habits, you can preserve the beauty, integrity, and meaning of your jewellery for years to come. Here’s our guide to keeping it radiant.
Handle with care
Jewellery is both resilient and delicate. We recommend removing it before activities where it could be strained or damaged - including sports, swimming, bathing, housework or gardening. Even subtle pressure or accidental contact with firm surfaces can affect the finish over time. Treating your jewellery with quiet attentiveness will help maintain its form and lustre.

Give Each Piece Its Own Space
To protect the surfaces and structure of each piece, store your jewellery separately. Each KINRADEN design is unique, and giving it its own space prevents the delicate metals and finishes from scratching against each other. The original KINRADEN box or pouch offers ideal protection, while also turning storage into a thoughtful ritual of care.

Protect your jewellery from damage
Precious metals are sensitive to their surroundings. Prolonged exposure to moisture, intense heat, or sudden temperature changes can accelerate natural oxidation, subtly altering the surface. For this reason, remove your jewellery before visiting a steam room or sauna, before washing your hands, or when applying beauty products. Likewise, avoid contact with salt water, bleach, or household chemicals, as these can irreversibly damage both metal and wood.

The Art of Cleaning jewellery
Regular gentle cleaning will keep your jewellery luminous. If dust or fingerprints appear, polish the surface with a soft cloth. For light tarnish, a special jewellery cleaning cloth will restore the shine. In case of deeper tarnish, you may use a dip cleaner designed specifically for fine jewellery - but soak the piece for no longer than ten seconds afterwards dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Special Care for Mpingo Wood
Our Mpingo wood, known for its rich tone and density, requires special attention to maintain its natural depth and radiance. If the surface appears dry or slightly faded, revive it by gently rubbing with beeswax. For cleaning, never immerse a piece containing Mpingo wood in liquid. Instead, dampen a soft cloth with a small amount of jewellery cleaning solution and carefully treat only the metal areas. Finish by drying the entire piece gently with a clean, soft cloth.

With mindful care, your KINRADEN jewellery will retain its elegance for generations. Your pieces will continue to shine with the same elegance and meaning as the day you first wore them. These small acts of attention honour not just the piece itself, but the craftsmanship, materials, and story it carries.
With Love,
KINRADEN
