THE BRICKS COLLECTION

The Blueprint of Copenhagen, Cast in Gold

Some designs begin with a line. Others begin with a place.
The Bricks Collection begins with Copenhagen - its façades, its rhythm, and the quiet discipline of its architecture.

Rooted in the architectural legacy of Kay Fisker, the collection translates the language of brick into jewellery: repetition, proportion, and restraint. What is usually fixed in the city’s walls becomes fluid, wearable, and alive on the body. In Bricks, architecture is not referenced - it is reimagined.

Architecture as Origin

Kay Fisker’s work defines a distinctly Copenhagen sensibility: calm, structured, and deeply considered. His brick buildings are not decorative, but precise - shaped by rhythm, proportion, and an understanding of how repetition creates harmony.

At the heart of this language lies the brick bond - a recurring architectural gesture found across the city. Its alternating pattern of structure and space forms the foundation of the Bricks Collection. Translated into precious metal, this rhythm becomes a sequence of open and closed elements, creating movement without excess.

Each piece reflects this architectural logic. Structured yet fluid, grounded yet light, the collection distils architecture to its essence - form shaped by intention.

Light, Material, and the Colour of Place

Crafted in 18-karat gold, the collection is brought to life through Queensland sapphires - stones whose natural spectrum of blues mirrors the Nordic landscape. From pale, almost golden tones to green-tinged hues and deep oceanic blues, each sapphire reflects the shifting light of Copenhagen.

Like brick façades that transform throughout the day, these colours respond to their surroundings - shaped by sky, shadow, and time. No two stones are identical; each carries its own subtle variation, echoing the imperfect beauty of both nature and architecture.

During her visit to the sapphire mines in Queensland, Founder and Creative Director Sarah Emilie Müllertz encountered a landscape defined by layers - formed slowly, with patience and precision. This connection between natural formation and architectural order became central to the collection’s identity.

Stones with Origin

The sapphires used in the collection carry a story of their own. Sourced from Queensland’s historic gem fields, they are ethically mined, fully traceable, and shaped by over 150 years of heritage. Extracted through carefully managed practices that prioritise land restoration and community, each stone represents a considered approach to both beauty and responsibility.

Second only to diamonds in hardness, these sapphires are created to endure - their clarity, strength, and individuality making each piece distinctly its own.

The Bricks Collection reflects KINRADEN’s continued exploration of material, place, and form. Drawing from Copenhagen’s architectural heritage and the natural beauty of Queensland sapphires, each piece carries a balance of precision and variation. It is jewellery that holds both structure and story - designed to be worn, lived with, and remembered.
