Yours & Ours: Giulia's Rome

If you're born in Rome, you can't really go a single day without beauty. And I don't mean beauty in the usual sense. I mean seduction, decadence, and that unmistakable air of sophisticated, adulterous elegance.

For me, Rome is a constant source of inspiration, passion, and sometimes nostalgia. There's something about the city that makes me feel free. It's almost like a stage where everything I imagine can come to life.

Perhaps that's why I keep coming back. To the familiar streets, the hidden treasures, and the places where I feel most at home.

Below are a few of my favourite places in Rome.

CENTRALE MONTEMARTINI

I love coming here to enjoy a moment of silence. There are rarely many visitors, and there's something incredibly peaceful about wandering through the museum without the crowds.

The contrast between classical sculptures and industrial machinery creates such an unexpected atmosphere. It's a place where different eras of Rome meet, and where I can take a moment to slow down and simply observe.

CIR CORREDI E RICAMI

One of my favourite places in Rome, and somewhere my little obsession with cocktail napkins finds its perfect home.

MUZIO

Exotic feather dusters, the most elegant bathroom accessories, and hairbrushes fit for a princess. There's something truly magical about this place.  Muzio has that wonderful sense of charm and eccentricity that makes it impossible to leave without discovering something unexpected.

MORIONDO & GARIGLIO

This place has such a wonderful history. Its chocolates are a little piece of Rome's heritage, and they're absolutely delicious.

There's something special about places that have preserved their identity over time. Moriondo & Gariglio is one of those institutions where tradition is still very much alive, and where something as simple as a piece of chocolate can feel like a small indulgence.

MUSEO BONCOMPAGNI

Without a doubt, my favourite museum in Rome.

It's a beautiful little treasure dedicated to fashion, art, and decorative arts, where you can admire pieces from Palma Bucarelli's extraordinary wardrobe.

I think what connects all these places is their ability to transport me somewhere else, even within a city I know so well. Some offer a moment of stillness, others a little decadence or an unexpected discovery.

Rome has always had this ability to make the ordinary feel theatrical. It's a city full of contradictions, memories, and endless inspiration. And perhaps that's what I love most about it.

With Love,
